Directions: Take the 7 Train from Grand Central, Times Square or Bryant Park and get off on Vernon Jackson. Once you exit the subway, ask anyone to direct you to the park Gantry Plaza, only 4 minutes walk.

Fort Tilden Beach: While many hop on the train to go to Coney Island, only few know about Fort Tilden, the best kept beach secret. With miles and miles of powdery sand, this beach is almost unknown even from the locals. If you are looking to have a romantic day on a deserted beach and feel like you are one of the bachelor setting, Fort Tilden is the place to be.
